This transfer may suit you if you would like to explore on your own. It consists of a motor coach ride from the ship to Pembroke. You will be dropped off at the magnificent castle that dominates the town. The coach escort will advise you of the pick-up time for the return journey.

You will have approximately 3¼ hours of free time to shop and explore independently. During your free time, you may choose to visit Pembroke Castle (at your own expense) -- one of the largest and best-preserved castles in South Wales. Best known as the birthplace of the remarkable Tudor dynasty, it is an imposing sight, situated high on a cliff face on the banks of the River Cleddau. If you choose to take a tour of the castle, you can visit the tower where the first Tudor King, Henry VII was born. Throughout the castle are tableaux depicting scenes from its history: Lady Margaret with her baby king-to-be Henry, and her ladies-in-waiting; revelry in the Great Hall with Earl William de Valence; and John Whithorn -- the last prisoner held in the dungeons.

Meet your escort back at the coach at the pre-arranged time and transfer back to the ship at Milford Haven.

Guide service, taxi transfers, entrance fees and lunch are not included in the transfer price. It will be your responsibility to be at the pick-up point at the given return time. An English-speaking escort will be aboard the transfer motor coach to answer questions en route. Travel time to Pembroke is approximately 20 minutes each way.
