Depart from the ship at South Queensferry and drive into the heart of Edinburgh city.

Begin your panoramic drive passing along Princes Street -- Edinburgh's main thoroughfare and shopping district. Catch a glimpse of St Giles Cathedral with its soaring crown spires, and travel down the Royal Mile, Edinburgh's main street in medieval times.

You will also see Holyrood Palace, official home to the Queen when she visits Scotland, and the Sir Walter Scott Memorial. Take advantage of the opportunity to stop and stretch your legs if you wish to get off the coach for a photo opportunity at the new Scottish Parliament building -- an unusual, modern building with a strong influence from Gaudí's version of Art Nouveau.

Drive around Holyrood Park -- a green oasis of lakes and ponds; then, if time permits, you will stop for a photo opportunity within the grounds of Holyrood Palace.

There is a five-minute walk from the ship to the motorcoach loading area. The photo stop is optional; participants may remain on the coach.
