Visit the homes of three Big Island residents, carefully selected to offer you a taste of the authentic Hawaiian lifestyle, and find out what it's like to live in paradise. This tour is an exclusive insight into the Hawaii that exists beyond the main streets and hotels, shops and luaus -- it's a view of private homes and gardens, and a glimpse of genuine island life. Each local residence offers an insider’s look at an island living style, whether mauka (mountainside) or makai (oceanside).

A delicious island-style progressive brunch involves eating a separate brunch course at each home and, as you would expect, each course showcases delicious, fresh, local ingredients.

Fresh breakfast breads, Portuguese sausage, 100% Kona coffee, seasonal local fruit and fresh juice start your meal. At the next venue, enjoy an organic green salad with sesame-ginger vinaigrette, chicken macadamia nut salad in papaya, Kona chips and lilikoi (passion fruit) green iced tea -- a generous second course.

At the third stop, an array of fabulous island desserts such as coconut macaroons, lilikoi mousse and Hawaiian sweet bread pudding is served.

Menu may vary based on what is in season. It is customary for guests to remove shoes before entering an island home; wear comfortable shoes that are easy to remove. The transportation used does not have storage facilities for wheelchairs or walkers. Participants must be to walk up stairs. Minimum age is 10 years. Tour does not operate on holidays. Some food allergies can easily be accommodated; please mention to tour guide. With advance notice, recipes can be modified for those with gluten intolerance.
