Relax and enjoy a panoramic drive through the city of Montevideo, with a commentary from your guide to introduce you to this charming capital as (s)he points out the highlights.

Heading out of town, about 25 miles north of Montevideo you will visit one of the leading vineyards and wineries of Uruguay -- the Juanicó Winery. The production area of 300 acres yields grapes that are processed right here at the winery, whose capacity is 750,000 gallons. The special terroir and microclimate of Juanicó have made this area an excellent site for viticulture. The structure of the vineyard involves an intelligent canopy management system based on organic agriculture principles. Main cultivated varieties include Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Marselan, Tempranillo, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. But the specialty is the Tannat varietal, which has won several prizes in the European market. Your tour of the facility includes time in the company's state-of-the-art winery, cellars and surroundings.

Enjoy a wine tasting followed by lunch, consisting of local meats and a variety of salads. As you dine, watched a demonstration of the typical Uruguayan tango.

Tour includes lunch on daytime calls or dinner on evening calls. Corkage policy: Wine purchased on this tour is exempt from the on-board corkage fee (offer limited to one bottle of wine per person).
