Travel from the port to the Tangolunda Bay district -- home to deluxe hotels and fashionable housing estates -- with a photo stop at a fabulous vantage point.

Continue to Conejos Bay and the Copalita River estuary for breathtaking scenery and photo opportunities.

At La Crucesita, you’ll visit the quaint new town and emerging resort area, and spend an hour independently browsing through the bustling market and stores of the central plaza.

Visit the Arts & Crafts Museum -- a venue with a vast array of Oaxaca crafts made by the artisans themselves. Learn how they make the famous Teotitlan del Valle rugs from scratch, from carding wool fibers, to dyeing them with natural ingredients and weaving on antique looms.

Sample various regional products such as chocolate, mole, cheese, mescal and even grasshoppers, if you’re brave enough.

A local restaurant serves a more mainstream and very tasty snack of local culinary specialties with beer or soft drinks.

From La Entrega Viewpoint, take photos of your ship, the beach and the coral reef, as you transfer back to the pier.

Notes:

Wear comfortable walking shoes, light attire, sunscreen and a hat.
