The Copalita River is a great whitewater run with Class I-II waters. A custom-made all-terrain vehicle, van or bus will transport you from the pier to the put-in location.

Safety gear is distributed and your guide will explain some paddling techniques.

The descent starts. Enjoy the landscape’s overwhelming natural beauty as you float downstream for 60 to 90 minutes.

You will land at a sandbank near the river’s estuary.


Depending on sea conditions, it could be necessary to walk up to a half-mile on rough terrain or sand from the pull-out point to the vehicle for the transfer back to the port. Minimum age is 6 years. Maximum weight is 240 lbs. Wear your swimsuit, shorts, T-shirt and sport shoes; bring a set of dry clothes and shoes, sunscreen and insect repellent. Basic swimming skills are required. Waiver must be signed and medical conditions disclosed. Bottled water and soft drinks are available. Minimum age is 6 years.
