Travel by air-conditioned transportation to Léon, to view the city's beautiful colonial architecture and its magnificent cathedral. Léon was founded in 1524 by Spanish conquistadors and lies at the base of Momotombo Volcano.

Visit the beautiful central park and the La Asunción Cathedral, where you can climb up to the roof and take in the extraordinary panoramic view of the charming city and imposing mountains beyond.

On you way back to Puerto Corinto, you will stop at the Chorotega Museum, which holds more than 1,500 indigenous pieces -- the best collection of pre-Columbian artifacts in the area.

Notes:

Guests intending to climb to the cathedral's roof to take in the view may wish to bring along or wear a pair of socks, as shoes/sandals must be removed for the climb.
