Board air-conditioned transport for a 55-minute drive to Finca Emma -- a plantation of 740 acres dedicated to the production, processing and export of fresh bananas. Along the way, you will enjoy the lush landscapes and hear all about Nicaragua from your guide.

At Finca Emma, observe the different stages and agricultural practices of banana production. One interesting fact is that this plantation is the largest exporter of bananas in the world.

Continue on to Hacienda San Jeronimo -- a plantation of 2,000 acres dating back to the 1700s. It was famous in the colonial era for its production and worldwide export of sugar. The estate has been passed down through many generations of the Coen family since that time. Explore the garden while listening to the song of the many birds that make their home here in these serene surroundings.

At the farmhouse, enjoy a traditional folkloric dance with live Marimba music and a snack. You will also have some free time for shopping at the estate prior to returning to the ship.
