This tour explores some of the Amazon River's creeks and channels, providing a glimpse of the mighty river's majesty, and takes you on a leisurely walk through the jungle.

During the initial boat ride, you will see local canoes, fishing boats and other river-craft making their way along the tributaries that lead into and out of the great rain forest, and view homes of local inhabitants built on stilts.

Crossing Combu Island via the narrow canals, you will reach the Boa Vista do Acará jungle area. Enjoy a 45-minute walk in the jungle as your local guide points out the different species of trees, fruits and seeds.

After the walk, you'll head back to the boat for the return trip to Belém .

Tour operates weather and/or water conditions dependent. Depending on the humidity, biting or stinging insects may be present -- bring insect repellent. Not recommended for guests who are allergic to insect stings. Traffic can be unpredictable. The driver will do his/her best to keep moving safely. Your patience is greatly appreciated. Delays occasionally extend tour duration. Tour does not operate on holidays. You'll be given a helmet to wear during the walk because nuts often fall from the trees during the jungle hike. They are not dangerous, but if there are a lot of nuts falling, it can be slightly annoying if you don't have a helmet -- this is a comfort issue rather than a safety issue. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
