Chef Richard Knobloch will meet you at Puerto Montt to begin this special trip of discovering the ethnic fusion of native ingredients in creative food preparation.

Begin in the Angelmó Fish Market, known for its wide variety of local fresh fish and seafood, as well as an array of ethnic ingredients and vegetables. Richard will pick up the best ingredients, such as mussels, fish and mushrooms, needed to prepare lunch.

Driving north from the picturesque port, you'll make your way through gorgeous agricultural valleys, past a rain forest and snow-covered volcanoes. A quick stop at an old farm allows the chef to pick up some herbs, vegetables and delicious fruits grown organically.

Reaching Puerto Varas, you’ll step inside the restaurant for an apéritif. Richard prepares a three-course lunch or dinner and you are welcome to join in the cooking if you wish. The dishes showcase the local ingredients and cooking techniques, always taking advantage of the fresh seasonal produce available.

After your meal, you will return to Puerto Montt.

This tour includes a meal -- lunch on daytime tours; dinner on evening tours. You will have time to visit the Angelmó Handicraft Market on your own after you return to the ship. The market is a 400-yard walk from the pier.
