Visit the Inquisition Palace, once fully embroiled in all the nasty history its name evokes.
View the colonial mansions of Cartagena and walk past the cathedral and the Governor’s Mansion -- headquarters of the Spanish government.
See the old commercial district, the Customs Plaza and San Pedro Claver Plaza with its church honoring the Patron Saint of Slaves and continue to the dungeons (Las Bovedas), used as both military barracks and a munitions depot during colonial times.
You’ll have 15 minutes to shop for souvenirs among local artisans displaying their art and handicrafts here.
