The wild and beautiful Aysén District of Chile lies south of Chiloé and Puerto Montt. There are impressive landscapes in this wet and windy region that makes up part of Chilean Patagonia. The construction of the Carretera Austral Roadway now makes the area more accessible for travelers who come to this area of Chile to experience frontier country.

Your excursion begins with a one-hour coach journey through beautiful scenery as you follow the river along the base of a deep rocky gorge. At a small farm, your horse will be waiting. What a fantastic way to experience the beauty of this land at your own pace, on horseback, capturing the sentiments of the first colonists who arrived in this area. After instructions are given and riding gear is in place, start your two-hour ride and revel in contemplating nature at its most pristine.

A small snack and glass of wine will be waiting upon your return. Transfer back to the Chacabuco pier and the ship by van or coach.
