Cruise the harbor channel for 15 minutes, while you transfer by boat to Stone Island.

Watch for the shrimp and tuna fleets, the famous Pacifico brewery, a view of the cruise ship and the Baja ferryboats.

A typical cart tractor ride brings you to the quiet township on Stone Island where fishermen still sleep in hammocks under the stars.

You'll have approximately four hours to spend in this setting, perfect for relaxing and swimming on miles of uncrowded, palm-lined beaches. The island reputedly has 1½ million coconut trees.

An island-style lunch (fish, chicken, salad, rice, beans, homemade tortillas and salsa) is served at a rustic restaurant.

Beer, soft drinks and domestic drinks are included.

Notes:

Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, sunscreen and hat. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Local vendors frequent the beach areas.
