Known as Adelaide's premier seaside destination, Glenelg offers a rich heritage, spectacular beaches, stunning sunsets, and delightful cafés, museums and galleries. Only 20 minutes from central Adelaide, it is a favorite spot for the locals to unwind.

Glenelg is where South Australia's first immigrants disembarked and settled in 1836. Take a one-hour guided walk with a local historian to visit the HMS Buffalo ship replica and see an original Glenelg tram. Stroll to the Holdfast Shores Marina, Colley Terrace historic buildings, the Rotunda, Glenelg Jetty and Pioneer Memorial.

You'll have time to explore the Bay Discovery Centre -- a social history museum celebrating the culture of South Australia, with stories from the Aboriginal people to the first European settlers.

Some free time in Glenelg allows you to purchase a snack if you wish before returning to the pier.

Notes:

Wear comfortable walking shoes.
