A Spanish-speaking guide leads this tour (or a guide with a Spanish interpreter). A limited number of Spanish guides and interpreters are available in this port; book early to avoid disappointment. This is not a bilingual tour; please see Panoramic Cadiz & Jerez with Sherry Tasting for the same tour guided in English.

Relax for a panoramic drive past the most important highlights of Cádiz: Spanish Square, San Carlos Walls, Alameda Apodaca, Carmen's Church, Genovese Park, Santa Catalina and San Sebastian Castles, La Caleta Beach and its fantastic scenery, the Roman Theatre, the old Royal Prison, and the Puertas de Tierra walls that separate the new city from the Old Town.

Drive through 'new' Cádiz to glimpse the lollipop-shaped telecom building, Victoria Beach and the hotel district of Cádiz. Watch for the all-important football (soccer) stadium as you head 30 miles out of town.

Jerez de la Frontera is famous for its strong Moorish influence and is widely known as the sherry capital of the world. In fact, it was the town's Moorish name, Scheris, which gave sherry wine its name. Tucked into the fertile hinterland of Cádiz, Jerez de la Frontera enjoys its own microclimate, which enables the grapes to grow ripe and sweet. Visit the cellars, or bodegas as they are called in Spain, to learn about the process of making sherry, from grape cultivation to bottling.

Taste the wine, if you like, before re-boarding your coach for the return ride to the pier.

Wear comfortable walking shoes.
