Departing Geraldton, enjoy a scenic flight and bird's-eye views of the spectacular ecosystem of the Abrolhos Islands -- rich in both history and beauty. They are located about 35 miles west of the city and are an important source of supply for the rock-lobster fishing industry of Western Australia. A surprising number of ships have been wrecked in the surrounding waters -- victims of a wealth of unforgiving atolls and reefs.

Over the Southern Group islands, your knowledgeable pilot will provide informative commentary on the area. You'll also fly over the Easter Group, whose three islands are densely populated with fishermen's camps for 3½ months of the year.

From there, you'll head towards the Wallabi Islands and fly over the Batavia shipwreck site, dating from 1629. A large hole in the reef marks where the remains of the boat lie.

Land on a nearby island and enjoy tea/coffee with cake before re-boarding the aircraft for your return to Geraldton.
