When Oosterdam sets sail in October 2027, guests will find more than refreshed staterooms and the Grand Dutch Café waiting. Two captivating venues — one brand new, one beloved and reimagined — will be ready from the very first evening aboard.

Situated at the heart of the ship, Bar 1873 is a stunning new space that highlights Holland America’s extensive Dutch heritage. Named for the year our story began, it’s a contemporary celebration of our roots and more than 150 years of maritime tradition.

The first thing you’ll notice is a soaring sculptural tulip that rises through the room — the centerpiece of the venue and a fitting symbol of Dutch identity. Around it, map-inspired details and maritime references connect today’s guests to the seafaring legacy that made this line what it is. On Oosterdam, the result is a space that feels rooted in history but thoughtfully designed with today’s guests in mind.

Bar 1873 is an elegant place to connect with others, take your time, and raise a glass to more than 150 years of seafaring wonder.

Ready to experience Holland America Evolution on Oosterdam?
