At a great house such as the Darcys\u2019 Pemberley, the punch served would have been something very much like Pemberly Punch. It’s based on the one famously favored at the time by the Prince Regent, with French cognac, rum from the British West Indies, and port wine, brightened with lemon juice, sweetened with Italian maraschino liqueur, and finished with iced sparkling wine.
