June brought another month of unforgettable memories and fun at sea, as well as multiple moments celebrating those who make the journey possible \u2013 our kind and caring employees. Pride Month\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

June is Pride Month in the U.S. and in many parts of the world, celebrating the unique history, culture, and contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community. On June 30, Holland America Line<\/a> employees and allies came together to walk in the 2024 Seattle Pride Parade in the spirit of community, inclusion and belonging.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s just one example of ways our employees come together to care for and uplift each other.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

International Women in Engineering Day\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

June 23 marked the annual celebration of International Women in Engineering Day. Grateful for the talent and contributions of all women in engineering, we couldn\u2019t help but recognize and share stories of some of our incredible crew members. That includes Milagros, who made history at Holland America Line after joining as our first female machinist in 2022. Originally inspired and taught by her father, she developed a deep passion for welding and even contributed to the tallest bamboo sculpture that made the Guinness Book of World Records. Day of the Seafarer\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Recognized as an international day of observance on June 25, Day of the Seafarer celebrates the contributions and dedication of professionals in the maritime industry. We are incredibly grateful to our crew members \u2013 who come from 70 different countries around the world \u2013 for creating unforgettable moments for our guests, communities and each other.\u00a0\u00a0Meet some of our crew<\/a> who share their talent and passion for cruise travel every day.<\/p>\n
