On January 18th several of Nieuw Amsterdam‘s crew completed a 12-day Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (PSCRB) course. The course is 35 hours of on board theoretical and practical training and assessments in lifeboats and life rafts operations, as well as sea survival techniques and first aid. During our visit to Antarctica, while cleaning the outside decks of the snow, our sailors brought out their artistic nature and had some fun. This is one fish that definitely didn’t get away!
