On Nov. 7, the Maasdam crew and officers said goodbye to Chief Engineer Juul Gehrmann after nearly 35 years of hard work, dedication and service. We rolled out the red carpet, had a lineup of hotel, deck and engine officers and with thanks from our corporate office, we even had a limousine take Juul and his wife Janet to their hotel in Barcelona. As Juul and Janet walked down the red carpet, the ms Maasdam blew her horn as a farewell. It was a great moment, which did not pass without emotions.
