From New York to Bermuda

Thanks to HAL guests Hal & Carolyn Hoffman for sending in these great photos of their cruise to Bermuda on the Veendam.

This was our second and unfortunately last HAL trip to Bermuda since the Bermuda trips will be coming to an end this August. What a shame! The trip down the Hudson River out of New York was great! We passed right by the Intrepid aircraft carrier and museum and had a great view of the newly arrived space shuttle Enterprise. Along the way we also had amazing views of the Empire State building and Statue of Liberty.

On our way into Hamilton we passed the Hamilton Princess and the tugboat “Faithful” at the ready! We also got a great peek at a dock on Front Street with Parliament in the background and we were able to get a great shot of our ship from the high-speed ferry that goes out to the Royal Naval Dockyard, which is a must see!

The food on board the cruise was exceptional and on the second night we dined in the Pinnacle Grill, which was absolutely magnificent. We made our 2-Star Mariner ranking on this cruise, and are looking forward to making it to 4-Star in the near future. All in all it was a fantastic cruise. — Hal & Carolyn Hoffman
