Santa Makes a Surprise Visit to Oosterdam

During the Oosterdam’s call at Mazatlan, Santa made an early visit to spend the afternoon with 50 children from a local orphanage of ages 3 to 18 years old. The group of children enjoyed a visit to the Bridge with Captain Jeroen Bajiens and Chief Officer Bart Vaartjes. Then off to the Lido with Santa’s Elves for a fun filled lunch topped off with Ice Cream Sundaes. Then it was a surprise visit from Santa in the Crow’s Nest complete with gifts for all the girls and boys. The children hugged and thanked Santa several times. Even the big kids took turns sitting on Santa’s Lap! We’re hoping to invite them back for another fun filled day on board the Oosterdam before we sail back to Alaska.

Amy Kreft is Oosterdam’s human resources manager.
