Exclusive King’s Day Collectors Premium Lager Bottle Available On Holland America Line Cruises

Holland America Line has designed a commemorative collectors bottle of Heineken premium lager to celebrate King’s Day, April 27, 2019. King’s Day in the Netherlands is held April 27 to mark the birthday of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander. We’ll be featuring the premium beer aboard all of our 15 ships, creating a connection between two companies with a history deeply rooted in the Netherlands.

The King’s Day bottle, which will feature new annual designs, will be available on all ships in the fleet as a limited run only during the cruise that falls over King’s Day. This special orange bottle with a historic Holland America Line photo depicted on the wrap will anchor our special Orange Parties held aboard for the holiday. Guests are invited to celebrate as Dutch citizens do by wearing orange and enjoying a festive gathering.

ORlando King's Day

King’s Day is a Dutch tradition of holding a national holiday each year on the birthday of their reigning monarch. The day is marked by huge celebrations, including concerts, parties and flea markets in the streets. Locals commonly dye their hair orange or wear orange clothing in honor of the House of Orange-Nassau, which rules over the Netherlands.
