Diary from a Recent Noordam Cruise

On March 26 the Noordam and Eurodam visited Half Moon Cay. All together 4,000 passengers visited the private island of Holland America Line. However the beaches were not overcrowded and everybody was able to find a beehive chair. Only around lunchtime it was overcrowded at the Food Pavillion and it was hard to find a place to enjoy the lunch. Tendering to the ships was no problem and went very smoothly. Half Moon Cay is a delight with wonderful beaches. I was on the island for the first time in December 1997 (with the introduction of the Rotterdam) but by that time the island was still in full development. It was good to see how Holland America Line developed the island. Well done!

Blog Contributor Bert Lamers just returned from a Caribbean cruise aboard Noordam. Over the next week he’s going to send in some posts about his adventure.
