Cruise Diary: Brindisi, Italy

Looking out at the city of Brindisi from our stateroom window, we didn’t really know what to expect from this port. But we left the ship feeling great because we know that Holland America line always finds the best destinations for its guest.

We ended our visit with Italian gelato, in our opinion the best in the world. When we boarded Ryndam we saw our captain. He was on his way to the very same gelato shop we had just visited. It’s good to know that we had been to a captain-approved gelato shop.

This photo was taken from our stateroom at the end of another beautiful, sunny day!

Cornelis “Cees” Kloppenburg and his wife Yvon are reprising their role as cruise diarists, this time on board Ryndam. They will be sending in cruise diaries throughout the duration of their time on board. Enjoy!
