Cruise Diary: A Eurodam Photo Shoot, Part II

Ann Kennedy, Holland America Line’s manager of marketing services, is aboard Eurodam this week for a video and photo shoot.

We are halfway through our shoot, and with so much activity on board, we will be lucky to just capture a glimpse of the experience our guests enjoy. The crew and beautiful people (models) took a much deserved break to dine in Old Town Puerto Rico last night. It was a star-filled sky and the ship looked beautiful from our vantage point on the cobblestone streets.

We are docked in St. Thomas this morning with sparkling aqua green waters and hilltops sprinkled with villas welcoming us. It looks very inviting from my perch in the Explorations Cafe, where Karen makes me a double cappuccino every morning and keeps me charged for my day ahead.

After chowing down on savory Puerto Rican dishes we returned to the ship to find the video models in full swing in the Northern Lights. They are quite the dancers! I took a stool next to Murray, our Australian digital consultant, at the Sports Bar. As he fascinated me with details of his upcoming documentary trip to Tibet I sipped a superb lemon drop (yes you can’t stop at one so let’s have several) and enjoyed listening to his accent.

We are shooting in the Greenhouse Spa this morning. It is a treat to be in the thermal lounge and get the chance to experience the warm blue lounges. Heaven!

I don’t want to make it sound like I am having too much fun. This is supposed to be work after all, right? I guess I should get back to the hard task of moving floor to floor, soaking in the artwork and deciding what of the over 1 million dollar collection to photograph later.
