Mary Moore and Nieuw Amsterdam’s 3rd Engineer, Rob Matthews, sent in these pictures of the impressive LED-chandelier getting installed in the ship’s Atrium.
Here is a close-up of the crystal centerpiece [in the Atrium] which reflects the skyline of New York. If you take the photo from a certain angle, the lights from the Ocean Bar shine on top of the torch of the Statue of Liberty, making it look like the torch is burning. Here are a few photos of Nieuw Amsterdam’s interior design. The 3,000-pound crystal centerpiece will be hanging from the ceiling in the atrium and will reflect the skyline of New York, formerly known as Nieuw Amsterdam.
