Part of the “On Location” enrichment program is bringing local culture and entertainment onboard each cruise. In Hawaii that might mean hula dancers or a ukulele player and in the eastern Mediterranean guests might be entertained by bellydancers.
Holland America Line is excited to introduce two new shows on ships that explore Tenerife in the Canary Islands and Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Fantastic Flamenco!
At Tenerife, guests will be dazzled by a flamenco show with performers from the world-renowned Flamenco Agency Dance Company. The dancers entertain guests with traditional Spanish music and dance in a show that’s passionate and breathtaking. The below photos were taken during a recent performance.
Croatian Folklore Comes to Life Onboard
This season, a Croatian dance troupe will come aboard Noordam, Nieuw Amsterdam and Ryndam when the ships are at Dubrovnik and showcase a Traditional Music and Dance extravaganza. Dancers and musicians will reveal a part of the atmosphere from past times while dressed in national costumes of the Dubrovnik region. Guests have already enjoyed the show on a few calls and the energy and authenticity of the performances were well received.
