Yes, it’s true, the towel animals have taken over Eurodam‘s Lido Deck. On a recent sea day, guests were treated to a Towel Animal Zoo around the Lido pool created by the stateroom staff who came out at 6 a.m. to fashion 584 towel animals. To construct the 65 different types of origami-like animals, they used 240 bath towels, 240 hand towels, 180 bath mats, 300 face cloths and 120 beach towels. Eurodam Hotel Director Stan Kuppens shared these fun photos with the blog and said that “It put a smile on the guests’ faces and made a nice start to a sea day full of events and activities.”
One of the activities mentioned by Stan is the Towel Animal Making class hosted by the shipboard Culinary Arts Center Host. In addition to hosting culinary-related events like mixology demonstrations, cake decorating, beer tastings, pre-dinner appetizer hour and “On Location” events like the Olive Oil Tastings, the Culinary Arts Center Host also holds fun classes like this one so guests can go home and turn their own towels into an elephant, monkey or snake. Other non-culinary classes include flower arranging, ice carving, plate presentation and garnishing, and easy entertaining.
