Special thanks to Kelsey Differding, Holland America Line’s corporate giving coordinator, for submitting this post and photos from the Seattle Symphony’s spring recital on board Amsterdam.
In June, Amsterdam hosted the Seattle Symphony on board for their spring recital. More than 100 guests enjoyed a delicious, four-course meal in the La Fontaine Dining Room, followed by a program in the Queen’s Lounge. This included a special performance by acclaimed composer Marvin Hamlisch, who performed some of his famous compositions on the piano. Hamlisch is the composer of more than 40 motion picture scores, such as his Oscar-winning “The Way We Were” and his adaptation of Scott Joplin’s music for “The Sting,” for which he received a third Oscar.
