The maiden arrival of Zaandam in Guaymas — the first cruise of 2010 — was an event never to forget for Zaandam’s passengers and crew. Live television coverage on several TV stations , many journalists, a huge band playing, the arrival was one big party.
Tuesday Zaandam anchored at Loreto. The ship tenders took us ashore and we had a nice and pleasant walk through the charming small village.
Sunday we were anchored at the bay of Cabo San Lucas. A secure job done by crew members, getting the tenders in the water

I wanted to share a few photos from the shipboard event we hosted for the San Diego Zoo last Saturday. It was an interesting challenge to figure out how to get these animals on the Zaandam, but everything went smoothly. We had a hedge hog, an alligator and a beautiful ocelot named Diego.
