Recently Statendam crew members participated in the kayaking crew tour in Huatulco, Mexico. This tour was a combination of the two best areas in the emerald waters of Huatulco with two very popular activities: kayaking and snorkeling.

A new program to help those in need kicked off along the Embarcadero on March 6, 2009. Six Statendam crew members visited an orphanage in Callao, Peru, before Christmas to deliver six boxes of clothing and shoes they had collected.
