During the repositioning cruise to South America, Veendam’s team donated medical supplies, blankets and bathrobes to Guayaquil Villa Hogar Esperanza, a retirement home in Manta, Ecuador. Here are a couple of photos of the retirement home residents trying out the new walkers, donated by Veendam.
Veendam recently held a plaque exchange ceremony with local authorities in Puerto Montt, Chile, during the ship’s maiden call there. Not only did the port authorities show up but also reporters to report the exchange. Even CNN Chile was part of the team.
