Dr. Deborah Wheeler is a travel writer who was on board Zaandam and sent in posts from her cruise. This surfer’s paradise, set among the sugarcane plantations and funky beach towns, offered lovely upcountry mountains and stunning coastlines. This island offered both remote and hidden gems along with popular and well-known spots for visitors.
