At sea today aboard ms Nieuw Amsterdam. A nice treat on sea days is to do as much or as little as you’d like. I am choosing to enjoy watching the waves roll by from my verandah.

The Nieuw Amsterdam moved from its port near Mestre, Italy, at 4:30 a.m. to just 700 meters south of San Marco Square. This is what I woke up to on Sept. 25 when I stepped out onto my Verandah. Talk about Holland America Line delivering Venezia to one’s doorstep!
