In Warnemunde, Germany Eurodam celebrated the Indonesian Independence Day with pier side games. Laughter could be heard echoing throughout the pier as crew from all departments took part in the traditional Indonesian games that range from sack races to bakiak ski races and pencil in a bottle competitions. As per a long standing tradition, the Indonesian Independence Day celebrations are surrounded with sporting activities. Many crew members and officers fully enjoy participating in those activities. The winners were honored with a prize and a nice certificate directly after the flag raising ceremony. A. C. van der Loo is Oosterdam’s master.
