On July 23, 2013 while the Nieuw Amsterdam was visiting Monte Carlo, Monaco, guest relations manager Jody Becker, with the assistance from guest relations assistant Rose Robles, organized the donation of 18 boxes of various items including clothing, books, shoes and toys to the International Charity Organization St. Vincent de Paul Society of Monaco.
