Here is the aft Lido pool. It’s a gorgeous, sunny day here in Italy.

Mary Moore, our blog contributor based at the yard, sent us a few pictures of the Cabana Club’s progress. Definitely a must-do when sailing aboard Nieuw Amsterdam!

Here are photos of Nieuw Amsterdam’s Neptune Lounge. Bert van Mackelenbergh is Statendam’s hotel manager. He currently is in Italy visiting Nieuw Amsterdam at the Fincantieri shipyard.

Director of Newbuilds Pieter Rijkaart sent us these photos of Nieuw Amsterdam’s aft pool bar.

The Queen’s Lounge — which also serves as the Culinary Arts Center — is almost ready! Mary Moore is a blog contributor based at the yard.

Here are more pictures of Nieuw Amsterdam. The bar in the Crow’s Nest is almost finished and more art is being installed. The Explorations Café is coming together nicely. The terminals, keyboards and chairs are all in place.

The art is being installed as you can see. Work in the public areas is in full swing and one can hardly imagine that some of these empty spaces will be turned into such elegant rooms.
