Last week Westerdam visited the port of Split, Croatia. As this was the first time the vessel was in this picturesque city, a plaque exchange ceremony with Captain Peter Harris was held to commemorate this event. Kateryna Bannikova is Westerdam’s human resources manager

Split is a picturesque small town, with a beautiful long promenade along the sea side and an amazing old city which is well preserved. The fun fact is the word “cravat” actually originated from Croats. Who would have thought!

Enjoy a few pictures from the crew tour in Athens. Fifty employees participated in the tour and were able to see the most important sightseeing spots of the city, including the famous Acropolis.
