While in Australia, Volendam crew members donated over $1,000 to UNICEF Australia, an organization that provides children with health care, clean water, nutrition, education, emergency relief and more in over 150 countries. During our passage from Milford Sound we were provided with two marine weather buoys from the New Zealand Meteorological Organization. They requested that we drop the two weather buoys on our passage from Milford Sound to Hobart, Tasmania. It was a perfect day for the guests to do sun bathing, snorkeling, swimming or just relaxing at the white sandy beach. There were welcoming dance performed by Dravuni’s Natives for the guests.
