A Cruise Ship Entertainer

This is a condensed version of a story written by Bert Ollivier, a columnist with “GSA Travel Magazine.”

This story is about a man and his work and how he treats his work as fun. When I met pianist Frank St. Germain he said that what he does for a living is like playing a game. I found him in the piano bar of the m.s. Noordam while enjoying a 20-day Caribbean cruise. St. Germain played with relaxed confidence and authority while singing along with any requested tune. His voice was more than good and his delivery was excellent. His rugged good looks completed the picture.
