Oosterdam called at Kuto, Ile des Pins, New Caledonia on November 17 and received a very warm welcome from the locals. A ceremony was held with traditional costumes and even handmade hats for us!
On Nov. 4, 2012, Volendam donated some 19 boxes of pillows to a Mataram (Lombok) orphanage. This donation was kindly received by three representatives from the orphanage who were extremely thankful for the donation and said that they would be much appreciated by the children.
