During Maasdam’s call at Ilhabela, Brazil, Mr. Antonio Colluci, the mayor of the island, came aboard for an official plaque exchange ceremony. Jaime de Castro-van der Loo is Maasdam’s human resources manager.

Thanks to Bob Hollis who sent in some photos of Veendam‘s Black & White Ball held while the ship was cruising South America. Guests had a great time and, as you can see from the photos, danced the night away.
On January 23, Prinsendam hosted Chile’s Minister of Economy and Tourism Pablo Longueira Montes and several members of the local media when the ship called at Valparaiso. The function was held in the ship’s Crow’s Nest with spectacular views over Valparaiso and the captain gave a wonderful speech. Enjoy these photos from the event.
