Striking a Pose in Our Seahawks Chapeaux

If you want to remain inconspicuous, don’t board your cruise ship as a group of five all wearing identical neon lime green hats. But it’s a great way to have fun and meet your fellow cruisers!

The lime green hats made our group instantly recognizable on board ms Oosterdam on the annual Seattle Seahawks cruise. On the first day of the cruise to Mexico, the three Seahawks players, (l-r) Will Herring, Ben Obomanu and Josh Wilson, greeted their fans.

We’re spending seven days in Mexico on ms Oosterdam with about 70 other Seattle Seahawks fans and three players as part of the team’s annual cruise. The team colors are blue with a bright lime green accent.

Wearing the distinctive hats brought lots of fun comments, even as we waited to board the ship. Other fans gave us a thumb’s up; a security guard announced to everyone in earshot the be on high alert because there were a large number of Seahawks fans in the vicinity; little old ladies told us we were “cute;” and lots of people informed us St. Patrick’s Day was last week.

Wherever we went on the ship, people came up to ask us about the hats! The hats had been for sale at the last game of last season, and three in our group decided it would be fun to get them for the cruise. A great and farsighted decision.
