In order to enhance the Hawaiian experience for our guests, Hotel Director Cees Tesselaar chose and purchased material in Hawaii and the tailors on board the Zaandam made shirts for all the various departments. This pictures shows each department with their “own style” shirt.

Departments from left: Lido cook, front office, stateroom attendant, officer/petty officer, entertainment, corporate partner, supervisor, beverage, housekeeping attendant, Lido steward and assistant dining room steward.
And here is the “Opah” fish that was purchased locally and displayed during the BBQ before being served to our guests.
Odir Rodriguez is Zaandam’s human resources manager.
At our table, I remarked how much I liked the shirts worn by the dining room stewards. They are the dark blue with white flowers shirts, far right in the picture. Very, very sharp.
What a colorful idea 😉
Does the Medical Staff get their own style scrub shirt?
I will be on that ship next month, going to Hawaii
I’m on the Volendam at moment and nearly end of my contract, New coveralls for the sailors have been rolled out over a year ago and the sailor still wearing 2 tones of coveralls, the old one is still being issued.
