Yesterday evening May 10, 2009, we celebrated Mother’s Day on board the Rotterdam. As usual, we decorated the Dining Room, Queen’s Lounge and Pinnacle Grill in purple, gold and pink colors with taffeta, columns, ceiling décor, cascades, etc.
We also presented every lady guest with “pink roses” for the event for an extra “touch.”
It was a great evening for our guests, especially with the Baked Alaska Parade in the Dining Room by the dining room stewards, assistant stewards and also the “Kitchen Brigade” and wine stewards.
Dinner was followed by a Mother’s Day ball in the Queen’s Lounge with everybody from all departments: Housekeeping, Casino, Dining Room, Kitchen (chefs) and Entertainment.
It was a fun, wonderful evening for guests and crew here on board.
