Amsterdam’s Safari on the High Seas

On February 20, 2010, we had a grand event while our President and CEO Mr. Stein Kruse visited during the Grand World Cruise this year.

Mr. Kruse embarked our ship in Walvis Bay, Namibia, and departed yesterday evening in Cape Town, South Africa.

One of the grand events was the “Safari Tent Camp” dinner in the Lido pool. We created a safari ambiance in the mid-ship pool with the crew and staff dressed up in African safari outfits and Madiba shirts (African). We built 14 tents around the dining area including fire pits and many statues of the big five animals around. We covered the pool and Jacuzzis with Bohme wood and lanterns with fire-red spot lighting.

The guests and our CEO were impressed with all the hard work and creations that we combined with the food and service that were provided.
