Stein Kruse Announces HAL Milestone at Event in Rotterdam

Holland America Line President and CEO Stein Kruse recently visited Holland, Germany and Oslo, amidst the exciting news that Rotterdam will sail year-round from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, beginning Fall 2012. The news was announced at a travel industry event at Holland’s award-winning De Librije restaurant, owned by celebrated Chef Jonnie Boer, a member of Holland America Line’s Culinary Council. Special thanks to Jan Fähmel for all of the wonderful photos.

    This is great news fore us in Rotterdam. Historic bands get stronger. Hope that the Rotterdam will be a great success when based in here home port.

    To add the city of Zwolle have a very special place in my hart. My mother was born and raised in Zwolle and my family of mothers site is still living in Zwolle. Zwolle is a beautiful city. The biggest city in the province of Overijssel and province capitol. The city boost many middel ages. I recommend a visit to the 800 year old city.

    i am very glad that holland america will opening new links in winter meaning more accessible – why not start up transalantic service again – more people can direclly access to USA to Holland

    I’m sorry to see that the Rotterdam won’t be in the Caribbean. I was on the first Caribbean cruise after her crossing and was on her one more time over Christmas and New Years. What a beautiful ship. Guess I can find other ones. I’m making my 27th cruise in December on the Westerdam.
