A Unique Call at Heimaey, Iceland

Veendam‘s Safety, Environmental & Health Officer Ronald de Bloeme sent in these pretty photos of the ship at Heimaey, Westman Islands, Iceland. Did you know at Heimaey you can see millions of wild puffins or go on a cruise looking for orcas, dolphins and porpoises?

Heimaey is just one of the unique ports we call at throughout the European season. You might have visited Dublin, but have you been to Killybegs, Donegal, Ireland? Or Qaqortoq, Greenland, where 85 percent of the area is under ice … take a look and our cruises and pick somewhere you’ve never been. Join us for a new and exciting adventure!

Heimaey was one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL and UNFORGETTABLE stops on our fantastic “Voyage of the Vikings” ! A very “Jurasic Park” moment! It still brings tears to my eyes when I see pictures of it!
